Please excuse my ignorance in asking this its probably something that I should already know.

Do hedgies need wood toys to chew on, or will they start to chew on the things in their cages (i.e. wheel, igloos, pvc, cardboard)?

I'm super new to hedgies and I keep comparing them to hamsters, rats, and even my African grey parrot although they're obviously very different (duh, Heather)

Hedgehogs do not need anything to chew/gnaw on. Their teeth do not continually grow like those of a rodent. Once their teeth are worn away they are gone for good.
