Is it okay to take her out to play with her or put her in a playpen for a little while during the day to spend time with her or should I just let her sleep and do this only in the evening?

Yeah it would be ok, but you have to let her sleep if she wants to. I take Bruno out durinng the day sometimes when I am cleaning or just hanging out watching tv and he snuggles with me. Just as long as she can go to bed if she wanted to.

If you have a hedgie bag and she is sleeping in it, you can just bring that out and give her the option. THen again, mine is such a deep sleeper that she wouldn't wake up! :roll:
