I'm pretty sure that cat food is recommended over kitten food for all hedgies~ no matter of age. Though kitten food has extra fat that is useful to a young, growing hedgehog. Therefore I would think about starting to change over soon to the new food. Be sure that you look for higher quality cat foods (I've attached a link here from this forum). viewtopic.php?f=6&t=15 There are pretty good guidelines in the nutrition section that will help you to decide what's best for your individual hedgehog. Some are avid runners and require a bit more fat, while others are a little "hefty" and need a bit less. You can start mixing them together so that the hedgie has a little of the old and new food until you finally take away the old food and leave just the new mix. All of your basic questions should be answered in the "Diet and Nutrition" section.
