My little sonic is having some problems with his poop. It has gotten soft but not runny. I will tell you what has been going on lately. last week I was gone for about four days and left sonic in the care of my dad with instructions on how to feed him and everything but for some reason he didn't do what I told him to do and he fed him wrong and gave him more wellness than I told him to. When I came home his poop was soft but not runny just more sticky. I've also moved his cage to my uncle's house because I will be staying there for the remainder of the summer. I was wondering if his soft sticky poop is from the wellness ( which he doesn't like to eat) or the move to my uncle's or maybe from something else?

Glad to hear it's not runny or green... I'd be more worried if those happened. I'm guessing that the change is poop is due to the change in food ratio/mix and stress from moving. Provided that hypothesis is correct, I'd just make sure to get his food back to normal, make sure his cage temp is just right, and see if it improves on it's own. I'd also consider feeding him a little unseasoned pumpkin or butternut squash... those seem to help poop problems (I've read about the benefits of pumpkin from many experienced hedgie owners and have used the butternut squash baby food with mine - she doesn't care for pumpkin).

In addition to SMHufflepuff's exactly right advice, I have a question. Did you slowly transition your hedgehog from the water he was drinking to the water at your father's house? Water changes are often overlooked and can quickly show up as a GI issue with soft stool.
