Tumor or cyst? 5 year old male hedgehog

Hi everyone! When I was washing my 5 year old hedgehog Nimbus this evening, I noticed a bump on the upper part of one of his front legs that I hadn’t seen before. I had last given him a full bath and nail trimming about three weeks ago (he doesn’t get very dirty super quickly as he’s gotten older). It’s not a cage injury, no bleeding, extra sensitivity or abnormal behavior from him that I’ve seen, just a strange bump that I’m worried could either be a cyst or a tumor. I can take him to a small animal hospital here in my area if there’s cause for concern, just wanted to know what others thought/if you’ve seen something like this before. I know he’s getting older in age and health concerns could become more of a potential issue to look out for.

New lumps or bumps are always a cause for concern in a hedgehog, especially one that is over 3 years old. Cancer is extremely prevalent in these little ones. I'd have it checked out. Most likely doc can do a fine needle aspirate on it to determine if there are abnormal cells (cancer) or if its pus filled and needs lanced/meds. Good luck!
Update: took him to the vet and turns out it was just a cyst! They lanced and drained it and said he’s completely healthy :)
