Hello again all!
I was thinking. The vet told me to turn the temp up in my hedgie cage to 84 degrees because of hibernation attempts. Am I going to have to always keep her this warm forever now? She is only a baby. Right now it is ok, but what happens in the winter! I have a heat emitter that can keep it that high, but can I gradually turn it down to like 79-80 over time after she stops trying to hibernate?

84 seems awefully hot even for a hedgie that has attempted hibernation. Im sure over time though you'll be able to turn it back down a little because a lot of hedgies will actually splat out with there bellys on the ground and legs out if it gets too hot. I'd just keep my eyes out for signs that the hedgie might be too hot. I can't say for sure though so I'd wait for some more opinions cause Im still learning too :)
