The only thing i can say is that it sounds as if his quality of life has almost deteriorated to nothing if he is choosing to sleep in his own waste rather than bear the pain of walking to another spot to relieve himself, or not even having the control to do so. I dont envy your position at all, but at 3 1/2 years of age it sounds as if he has had a full life and if this last ditch effort doesnt help dramatically you may have to make the tough decision to help him cross rather than prolong his suffering to gain a little more time with him.

Im so sorry to hear that you are having to make this difficult decision, and i admire your character for realizing that keeping him alive any longer would be selfishness on your part. I think you are doing the right thing and my thoughts and prayers go out to you and your big man these last couple of days.
