Hi there
1 of my girls was mated but failed to conceive she is over a year old and thought it may be best to retire her now.any thoughts?
She has only ever had 1 litter.

I retire my girls at 2 years old..Sooner if need be depending on the circumstances.

How many times have the breedings failed? Have you used different males each time? Usually after 3 failures with different males I retire.

I retired my one girl at the age of 2 1/2, that's when her last litter was born. I retired my other female at 2 but more for temperment reasons then age.

Used the same male and it was just the 1 attempt.The female is a wonderful mother with an excellent temperament.I do have a few other males i could try with her.
