Hi everyone, I'm just wondering how old your hedgies were when they finally finished their adult quilling? Rocko is eighteen weeks old today ( :D !!!) and still has periods of three or four days where he loses quills, goes on hungerstrike, and becomes Mr. Grumpy Quills. He went through a period like this when he was around eight weeks old, and then it began again at around twelve weeks and is still going.

I'm pretty confident that it's just quilling and not anything more serious, but I thought I'd ask anyway. Is it normal for him to still be quilling at 18 weeks?

I think everyone is different but for me: I got mine at 12 weeks old and he lost quills for about a month or so which would have put him in the 16-18 week range. The only thing that I can't be 100% about is if it was a true quilling in my case or if it had to do with the stress of a new home. He'd lose a few quills every night and it gradually weened off to now where I'll find 0-2 a night.
