I absolutely cannot contain my excitement at the moment, I think I scared the employee at PetSmart....

It has almost been a year since I've started looking for snugglesafes and PetSmart FINALLY has them in stock!!!! I was soooo happy, because last year, it was already winter when I got my boy, and they didn't have them anymore. I check every few months and I usually get... "A what?" *blank stare* when I ask about it  Even today, the guy was like "Erm...what? Can you explain what it is?" But luckily, they had them, I was so happy ^_^

They do NOT stock up on a lot of these either. There were only 3 when I finally found a PetSmart that had them! So anyone who wanted to get them, now is the time to find them, before they're all sold out for the season. They're great for travel and emergency backup heating.

Now I won't have to worry as much during travel and bad storms. ^_^

That's great to hear Petsmarts in Canada are finally selling the snuggle safes again. I urge everyone that wants one to get it quickly because usually they do not last and unless things have changed, it will be months or a year or more before they have them again.

Make sure also that as soon as you buy it you try it and make sure it holds heat for the the time it should. I have one that only holds heat for about an hour and another only a few hours. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that until months later.

I'll be sure to give mine a try, especially when they still have a few to exchange if I need to.

And ya, they only seem to sell them now, during the fall season, and once they're gone, that's it. Because last year, I pretty much checked monthly during the winter(Nov - Mar) and there was nothing. Then one employee finally knew what I was talking about and said they only get them during the fall.

Is it really that difficult to get them in america/canada? Can you not get them online? We have loads all the time in our shops, I think people think they're quite expensive over here, I have 2 thought :)

I've had the best luck with Amazon - seem to always be in stock. But for those who do not have access to credit cards or want to avoid the shipping & handling charges, cash at a store is the way to go. Second best is Pet Supplies Plus. Can never seem to find them at PetCo.

Related... I was able to pick up Bonzo, the Snugglesafe Dog as one of hedgie's disc covers from Amazon. She prefers to snuggle into his head/front paw area.

Question: the covers that come with the disc - I have four and they're falling apart much sooner than I would think they should. Is it just me or do others have this problem too?

ah right yes i suppose with the P&P on top if that can be avoided its best.

Yes my covers have fallen apart aswel, after about 20 washes and they have to be washed regularly as my bunny likes to poop on hers

I would've bought online, but paypal hates me and my credit cards XD
And since it wasn't a complete necessity, and I drive by enough Petsmarts often enough, that I just check in every so often.

Hopefully, my cover holds up bit longer, but luckily, my boy doesn't poop/pee in his sleeping area.

And yay, looks like mine's working fine so far. 5 hours and still going strong. I'll probably pick up another one soon, just to have it around and interchangeable.

thank you for the reminder. I just purchased on amazon. I have two discs in the house for my dogs in case we had a heat emergency and they are wonderful. I have a space heater for the hedgehogs but would like the discs if we had to evacuate the house or other emergency.

Now I need to purchase travel crates/cages.

So I went to PetSmart and low and behold it isn't cold enough here yet. The manager said they are seasonal and usually go super fast. They are available online, but they are much cheaper on Amazon. I got two new ones for around $53!! Thanks again for the great reminder!!

I'm just about to order mine from Amazon. Sooo much cheaper than petsmart's website. I wanted to double check how people liked theirs first. Ender gets to go on a couple road trips in October and I'd like him to stay warm in the car.

Ditto here with the covers being flimsy. My kid could have sewn better than that. (well ok my kid could so better than a lot of people including myself...) Really, it is threading already! Whatever. I have been checking them and mine are staying warm for the 12 hrs.
