My hedgehog Fabio has a little cat scratch under his ear, it used to be more like a scab. But now i can see the line from the cat scratch and i was wondering if i can put neosporin on it to help it heal. I think he may have itched it and peeled the scab off, which isnt good. I hope he is ok. The neosporin that we have is called Equate triple antibiotic ointment. contains bacitracin, neomycin sulfate, and polymyxin B sulfate. Is that ok to put on his scratch?

Heres a pic of the cream

I'm not 100% sure, but there is a sticky posted in the Health section of this forum that list "Things Toxic to Hedgehogs" by Nany, and the following is said at the bottom of the list:
Polysporin and Neosporin Pain Relief or Extra Strength - Regular original Polysporin is safe to use. Any other formulas are toxic.
The particular producted you're interested isn't either Pain Relief or Extra Strangle formula mentioned above, but to be sure I'd stick to Regular Original Polysporin.

Hope Fabio's scratch wound will heal quickly! :)

Extra Strangle formula

Heeeeee.... I never even noticed it! I'm terrible at spelling and my spell checker catches almost all errors, but in this case "strangle" is a legit word, so it missed it! For everyone's amusement, I won't edit it, but please read it as "Extra Strength". :D
