Quick question, I got a hedgie about 6 months ago, but i had to go out of town the last 2 months. I'm afraid that my hedgie, Cosmo, doesnt remember me =(

I't taken him out several times to play since returning, he unrolls quite willingly but he started licking my hands and biting a little bit. He never did that before, and my roommate that was watching him said that he would paw and nibble on his shirt.

Any tips on how to work on the biting???

Licking is usually a sign that your hedgehog is going to bite. In my experience they don't do this to be mean. Annabelle has done it to me once, and that was only because I had forgotten to wash my hands before picking her up and she wanted to taste what I'd had for dinner. :p IMO there is no way to detract a hedgehog from biting. If you put him back right away, he'll only learn to associate biting with you leaving him alone, and he might start to bite to get out of play time all together. I would just move your fingers/hand/arm whatever your hedgie is licking from his reach. :)
