Both of my females had very happy healthy first litters and I have waited 3 and 4 months after their babies were weened to re breed them, however niether of them took. Am I trying too soon? The only difference I can see is that I left the wheel in with them. Maybe both my girls were hiding and he couldn't get to them ? I am not sure what the solution is. I don't want to try again until I have some input. thanks!

4 months from weaning should be fine. Generally it is recommended to be 6 months from birth which is basically the same thing as 4 months from weaning.

Winter could be the problem. Is it the same male with both girls? If so, how old is he?

Same male. hes a year now. the first two litters were fine. 3 in one litter and 5 in the second first try for them both. I waited to re start them after the babies were weened at 8 weeks for 3-4 months.. soo... im thinking maybe the wheel was a hiding spot or something and she wouldn't let him get to her??
