Not sure if this is the right category to post under; but anyway.
So last night I let my hedgie Chester run around the kitchen and explore and kept an eye on what he was getting into. I went to answer my phone and when I came back I found Chester biting on one of my Chihuahua's raw hides. He would bite it a little and then self-annoint and keep doing that. I think he was just attracted to where my dog has been chewing and likes the smell or something. So the point is, I was wondering if it was safe for him to be doing that as long as he wasn't swallowing any of it. Sorry if there's already a post related to raw hides. And my bad if it is totally harmful, that's the whole reason I am asking. Thanks. :?

Anyways, I will keep them away from Chester but I have always given raw hides to my dogs and noticed nothing different so I won't change that, lol.
