Hi Hedgehog central forum people! :)

Well hi everyone i recently got my first hedgie Sid (2 months old) and i have a concer about his quills:

Once i went into a pet store to see if they had hedgehogs and they did! (strangely) so they took him out for me and i holded him, he was very sociable, i guess he had been a while in the store, what caught my attention was that his quills were all laying down and they were very soft when touched the thing is that Sid´s quills are all spikey and messed up even if he´s relaxed and playing around, so i wondered:

Is this because he´s a baby? or is he stressed ? or do i have to pet him to get his quills in order?

Thanks for reading!

His Spikes are up because he'es nervous. Continue to handle him and spend time with him and he will start to relax once he becomes more comfortable in his new home.
