Hi guys, Butters is currently being treated for URI and because it's his first time being sick I just have a few questions.

He had a hibernation scare recently and since then I've gotten him a better heating system. Shortly after the hibernation attempt I noticed he was sneezing so I brought him to the vet and the dr put him on liquid Baytril.

Could the URI be related to the hibernation attempt?
I haven't seen much about Baytril being used for hedgehogs, does that sound normal to you guys?
Also I keep his water in just a regular bowl not any fancy watering thing and sometimes I get worried that he's going to get water in his nose and cause a URI. I'd be intereted in what everyone else does.

Yup, hibernation attempts can cause URIs. Not every time, but it can happen. Baytril is a pretty common antibiotic to prescribe too! The water in the regular bowl should be just fine, especially since he should know how to drink from it by now. Bowls are safer than water bottles, so I'd stick with the bowl. :)
