Hi All,

I'm a new hedgehog owner and I'm kinda worried about my Luna.

Lately at night she seems to keep on scratching her quills on the same spot. Strangely she just scratches at night. When she's awake during the day or sleeping no scratching.

Just today When I was cleaning her cage I noticed one or two of her poops was green. But the rest seemed fine ranging from light to dark brown. Should I be worried? SHe pooped again though and it seemed fine.

Though I rember she used to have big poops, now she has been popping pellets.

The scratching isnt too abnormal (the fact that its happening at night and not day) because during the day I'm going to say hes probably more occupied with the fact that he is out and awake and doesnt want to be hahaha, whereas at night hes just chillin and probably notices that hes got an itch or two lol

As for his poop I would say just give it another day or two and check to see if theres more green poop, if there is a little but like 99% of regular poop, id say its probably a treat your feeding him, if your not, I wouldnt worry too much.

If theres a lot of green poop, I'd say it maybe time for a vet visit...

I am going to be on the lookout for green poop tomorrow, I let Dexter roam free today and he got in some small spaces where there were crumbs from god knows how long ago, so hopefully **** be alright.

Thanks alot HixVAC, I'll keep an eye out. He's been eating the same things. But maybe it's due to his litter box. He loves munching on those crystal things.

Actually he loves his litter box to much to the point he sleeps in it.

Uhhh, I would take your litter box out if hes eating the litter :-\ either that or try a litter box without the litter, I've heard of people doing it but am not to sure, I am going to be working on litter training in the upcoming weeks

Yup did that.
Though I'm little worried this evening I noticed again she has a semi big green poo. But all other poos in the cage are small brown pellets/
