hi i have already posted on this but i feel like i am at my whits end! my hedgehog has in the last week become quite aggressive. just two weeks ago i was only thinking how well we are getting on and how good he is. i dont know what i am doing wrong. hes getting the same food as usual is eating drinking and pooping as normal but this week he has bit me 4 times 2 were small ones but thee other 2 broke skin and he wouldnt let go it was very painful! i didnt put him back in his cage straight away as to not reward this behaviour.

i would understand if he has always been a biter but prior to this he very very rarely bit me maybe 1 or 2 times since i got him ( he is 1 now). i am thinking i will bring him to the vets on thursday but it is quite far away so i want to make sure it is necessary before i do so. Im honestly really upset he is behaving this way as we usually get on quite well. he hisses and huffs like a normal hedgehog but no matter how much he does this he never bit me in the past. please help i am beginning to be scared to handle him:(

Have you taken him to the vet to rule out medical issues? Often behaviour changes like this are the first sign of illness or injury.
I have brought Alfie to the vet today because his behaviour change and he has been having green poops on and off the last two weeks. The vet have him an antibiotic and I have to keep giving this to him twice a day to ensure there's no sickness or anything but she also gave him an injection which she told me was an antiparasitic and only after told me it was ivermectin!! Now I am so scared that something will happen to him because all of the stuff I've read online about ivermectin :(( please help does anyone know if ivermectin is bad for him? The vet tried assuring me it was normal to give hedgehogs but I'm scared.
