Hey guys, I switched my hedgehog over to liners, but it isn't fleece, I just used a thick cotton blanket (the same kind of feel as bed sheets, but thicker and more durable). I haven't had any issues, and there are no loose threads, but is this kind of liner safe? It is folded so there are multiple layers as well, and its washed every 4-5 days in hypo allergenic detergent.

Hem the edges (or double it over & sew it so the edges are hidden) so that it doesn't unravel and produce loose threads over time. If it's a blanket, the edges are probably already finished.

Fleece is the no-sew option, but any tough, washable fabric with a tight weave (cotton, denim, corduroy, canvas...) works (and usually lasts longer) if you can finish the edges.
