It gets pretty hot during the day in the room where my hedgie is and I was wondering if it would be okay to leave the ceiling fan on during the day to help cool the room down some so it's not over 80 degrees?
A ceiling fan is going to make it worse. Hot air rises so it's hotter at the ceiling than it is at the floor. By running a ceiling fan you redistribute that hot air from the ceiling to the floor, making the lower part of the room hotter.
Open the house during the cooler nights, using a window fan to bring in cool air. In the morning shut the windows, close the blinds on any window where the sun beats in directly and that should help you manage temps.
