hedgehogs do not have scent glands and therefor do not give of an odor. Hedgehogs do however have a smell to them, and if you feed wellness and it is to rich for your hedgies belly, you may get really stinky poops.

My hedgehog dosent smell at all! The only thing smelly is its pee and sometimes its poop depending on what its eating. But if its healthy, the poop wont smell bad unless you have it like, right under your nose! haha.

Cloud is a smelly boy. He has a strong musk to him that tends to permiate the room. Whenever i smell it i just know its hedgehog. However, thats not because HE himself is a smelly boy but because of the diet he is on. His poops are soft and very stinky and he is a wheel runner. I don't bathe him often so he does have this lovely stench to him. To ward off the smell make sure to keep both cage and hedgie clean, but don't bathe your hedgehog too often... it can dry out their skin.
