11" I believe... I am definitely going to upgrade her to at least a 14". Do you have any recommendations for where I might find a 14" wheel? I looked through a lot of ones on Etsy, but did not see a 14".Can you take a picture of them on the wheel? Even with a flash in the dark, or maybe a video?
Sounds like the wheel is possibly too small. For me personally, I find 12” too small for many hogs, thought is fine for some of the smaller guys. Most need 14”+. Many plastic bucket wheels are only 10”, and I personally think this is a very dated standard and is much too small for any normal hedgehog. How big is the wheel?
if it’s 11” I would say it’s too small based on what you’ve described. I use the 14” metal wheel by tictac wheels for my boy (he is 480g). I’m not familiar with other brands unfortunately! Maybe niteangel or bucastate? You could try source even a 12” or 12.5”, you’d be surprised about how much of a difference even just 1-2” would make.11" I believe... Sadly I am in the US so I would be paying $170+ for a 12" wheel from Tictac ToT. I appreciate the input though!
