Hello,
My name is Barbara and I just adopted a 2 year old female hedgehog this week. I did a lot of research beforehand and i really lucked out my girl is very friendly. I tried giving her some meal worms and she ate a few and I was just wondering if anyone knew of any other treats i could try with her. As for color I think she might be cinnamon? I am still trying to pick a good name for her. Maybe Gracie, Ms. Maple or Evelyn. I have attached a pic if anyone know what color she could be that would help.
Thanks!

Hello! :) I'm also a beantown hedgie owner!

Congrats on your new hedgie! I also love the name Maple that was suggested. :)

For treats - my hedgie, Olive, hates crickets and mealworms so I've had to experiment with treats for her. She LOVES plain, oven roasted turkey breast cold cuts, canteloupe, watermelon, strawberries and bananas. I just break whatever I give in into some small bits and give her maybe a tablespoon's worth on a paper towel. She hogs it all down!

Good luck with your new hedgie!

She is Beautiful!
I like the names Gracie and Evelyn.

A new treat (for mine) that I've tried lately was the Gerber turkey sticks. My girl Wasabe actually anointed with it! that's the first time I seen her anoint with anything!
Shelby wouldn't eat it. I can't get her to eat anything but cat food, she ate some scrambled egg once.

Hi Guys!
Thanks for all the nice compliments on my hedgie! It was also great to find out there are more hedgie owners in MA!I left her a little banana today to try and I will def. give the others a whirl. I have been watching her all week and I have decided to name her Gracie. She is very light on her feet as she runs around the rug looking for a dark area to hide in :)

She is so pretty! that is like the color i am wanting. I am waiting on my little boy who is a VERY dark pento. he will be ready in about 2 weeks :) anyways, the name Gracie is cute. My mom had a cat named that. But i really like the name Avery. Its too cute! As for me, i drove my self crazy trying to think of a name for my boy so i ended up picking out the name Hedgie lol :) But i like it, it suits him. Well i cant wait to see more pics of her and her cage and setup!!! You gotta post some :)

Good luck with little Gracie.
