Hey everyone!

I am looking into getting my second hedgie. I currently have a 1 year old male, looking to get another male but a baby. How do you house two hedgehogs? Do you use two cages, are they store bought or did you make your own? Please send me pictures if possible!


Just a side question: has anyone introduced a younger male to an older male? My older male is lazy, doesn't do much and I can't imagine him being aggressive. The only time he has ever bit anything was his tooth brush in the bath! I have read a lot of articles saying they will fight, but I have successfully introduced many pairs of hamsters and other little critters so I don't necessarily believe that.

Males are solitary animals and can be very very territorial and should not be introduced to another male. They may not fight at first but over time it causes them to become more aggressive.

Hedgehog prefer to be housed alone so I would highly recommend a cage for each.
