Lily's cage has always been up in my bedroom, since I got her. And my bedroom is more or less silent during the day, so I think she's gotten used to sleeping with no disruptions, no noise or anything.
However, my room gets very warm during the summer. Today it's been in the mid-70's outside and my room got up to 81 degrees. She hasn't shown any signs of heat stress, but I'm hoping to have a job for the summer, and I don't want to risk her getting heat stressed while I'm not at home to notice and help her. So I'm planning to move the cage down to our living room, where it'll stay at a comfortable temperature for her.
My question is...do you think she'll be really stressed out by the environment change? There's not TONS of activity in the living room, but my brother and I do hang out in it during the day/evening and watch tv and such, and our front door is there, too. Do you think it might help her adjust a bit from silence to some noise if I play a radio quietly in my room for a week or two before we move her down?
