A hedgehog quills numerous times over it's lifespan. Quilling often occurs at these time periods:

* First quilling
o 4 weeks (~1 month)
* Second quilling
o 6 weeks (~1.5 months)
* Third quilling/Adult Color quilling:
o 9 weeks (~2 months)
* Adult quilling
o 12 weeks (~3-5months)
