So my precious Princess Quillia is now three months old. I bought her one of those flying saucer wheels at petco.

She did just fine with it for about three weeks, I bought the largest size.

About a week ago the wheel started making loud irritating squeaking, and I cannot fix it for the life of me. It's so loud she has to be in another room for me and my Fiance to sleep at night.

I was wondering if any one else has had this problem? If so how to fix it?

Or if there isn't a way to fix this POS wheel, can I get recommendations on a good wheel thats not super load?

Thanks.

Everyone on this forum loves Larry T's Carolina Storm wheels, I have yet to purchase one but will be soon. Mostly everyone says they're silent and if they aren't it's because a bolt is loose or it wasn't properly put together.

Flying Sauces wheels that you can buy in pet stores are generally quite poorly made and are subject to breaking, falling apart, and becoming quite loud. Since the product is low quality, it can't really be fixed and generally causes the owner to just buy another one. Personally, I would recommend either purchasing a higher quality saucer (which can be found online) or just getting a regular wheel.

As mentioned above, Larry T's California Storm wheels are by far the most well-made, silent, and safest option for hedgehogs. They must be ordered online, but are well worth it. The pet store alternative is the comfort wheel, and it's reasonably quiet but not silent.
