I just got my first hedgehog yesterday... and I set up his cage and everything. But then when I woke up in the morning to check up on him i saw him sleeping in his litter box... Is this normal behavior? I don't know what i should do... should i just let him sleep where his poop is? or do something else? :)

Its not uncommon behavior.

How old is he? And do you have a sleeping box or sleeping bag? Something soft for him to snuggle into?

Since he is new to you, you are going to need to be patient to let him settle into his new home. It can take some a couple of weeks to finally figure things out and settle down. Everything is new and confusing right now.

hey! my hedgie does that too. it hasn't seemed to hurt him so far and as long as the litterbox isn't dirty I really wouldn't worry about it. If he does this a lot, just make sure to clean the litterbox out frequently so that you know when/if he lies in there, he isn't getting all gross. And my hedgie doesn't sleep in there ALL the time. He goes in between his house with the bedding and the litterbox--house more frequently, yay!!!!
But as long as the litterbox is clea, you should be okay.
