hey, i just got my 7 week old hedgie about 3 days ago and we finally bonded and now she lets me stroke her quills and she sleeps on me and stuff but about 20 minutes ago i was looking in between her quills and I saw TONS of flaky white skin thats peeling off of her. So probably just dry skin, but its my first hedgehog and im a bit worried (I know, its just dry skin [i hope]) but i wanted to ask, do i take her to the vet or something? or should i just give her a oatmeal bath? I havent bathed her yet so im not 100% sure how to do it but ive read a guideline on how to.

any help is appreciated

Ok ,don't be worry about that ,,,
a bath is the best to do before anything else ,,,,put about an inche of water in the sink ,,
and give him an oatmeal bath ,,, drop some water on his back with a little glass or any kind off container to wet all his skin with the oatmeal , take care to dont drop to much water in his face cause they don,t like that and it can be dangerous for his eyes and nose . let him soak about 5 -6 minutes , during that time check if his nails are ok ,,(not to long) . and if every thiings are ok ,,rince him with clean water and dry him in a hot towel. (not to hot hihihi) Keep him to dry in the towel to be sure he his dry and put him back in his splace to sleep ,,,

Let him completly dry and after that you can check if every things are ok ,,,in my mind it's probably only dry skin ,,,but if it's not okay with the oatmeal bath after that you can see a vet cause with older hedgehog it can be more than dry skin ,,but at the age of your sweetheart i am about 99 % sur it's only dry skin,

hope i can help a bit and give us some news after that please ,,;-))

my english is not so good but i try a lot ,,,,hihihhih
