A friend just bought a hedgehog and it has little white bugs. I have been reading about revolution can someone tell me if this website is what you are talking about??

That would be it. It only takes one drop per hedgie and not a whole tube like it would for a kitten.

I believe they can be passed to other pets. It isn't as contagious as some parasites but it is better to be safe than sorry.

Some mites are contagious and some are species specific. Like Reaper said though, its better to be safe than sorry. You won't know for sure if the hedgie is contagious or not if you don't find out what type of mites he has. The only way that can be determined is by seeing a veterinarian.
