I am not a breeder, but it sounds like she might be nervous and could be trying to find a safe place for the babies. You need to stay out of the room and leave them alone, if the babies are under two weeks old. The mother, especially if she's a first time mom or a nervous one, could see you as a threat. Don't even peek into the room/cage at all, other than to put food in for the mom. That's all you should be doing in the first two weeks. Also, make sure you have taken her wheel out.

Lily's mom is correct. If mom is carrying babies around, she is stressed. trying to protect them. She will kill them, if she feels threatened.

Do not try to peek at babies, or clean cage! Take out the wheel and only feed and water mom until babies are at least 2 weeks old. Please PM me or Nancy if you need more assistance.
