Hello everyone, I have a C&C cage that is connected by a spiral vinyl tubing ramp. How can you convince them to use it? She is brand new and a little scared but how can I coax her to try it?

Have you tried mealworms in it? Some at the bottom and some at the top she can smell.

When i first added a tube to another level i put harley on the new level and he just went down the tube to find the rest of his house. i did this a few times. the next night, he was sleeping up there. mealworms are a good idea too.

Ill try meal worms tonight when I get home. She can really smell them all the way down the tub? thats awesome!

Keep in mind that some hedgies absolutely hate either going up a level or using a tube/ramp in general, and may never use the tube or loft.

I wouldn't even worry about getting her to use the tube until she is more used to her new home and humans. Once she is comfortable, she will probably try it on her own, or she may be one of those hedgies that won't use tubes, ramps or levels.

Make sure you put food, water and a bed in both areas in case she does go into the other part and then is scared to go back.
