Hedgehogs are free-fed at any age, but counting the kibble first is suggested so you can monitor that they are indeed eating and if there is a drop off in appetite.
How much varies on each hedgehog, mine are adults and eat 1 1/2 T of dry kibble. I could cut it down to 1 1/4 as there's usually some leftover but I don't want them to run out on a hungry evening.
