Okay, I think my cage is finally done. I should be getting my baby the first week of March, so I thought I'd post a photo here now just in case anyone has any suggestions for any changes I should make before he gets here!

It's a C&C cage, but instead of cubes I used playpen panels. The coroplast walls are 8" high. I have two closet shelves that sit on top for the lid. There is a big UV strip light on top, and two 100w heat emitters that are hooked up to a Zilla 1000w Temp Controller. There is also a digital thermometer set up. I have Yesterdays News litter under the wheel, and fleece strips in all the hiding places. There is also a marble tile in one corner in case he wants a cool surface to lay on. I'm also planning on getting a hat and hedgie bag from Nancy.

Am I missing anything? Does anything need to be changed?

It looks great! I like how you have two ceramic heat emitters. It's a nice roomy size too. :)

Agreed LOL I got fleece liners for mine and Man oh man what a disaster area after one night! The other night he figured out a way to get underneath the liner OH BOY I woke up to the water dish knocked over, poopy foot prints all over, food dish tipped over with kibble everywhere! The liner was all bunched up on one side with a Hog sound asleep right in the middle of it  I peeled the liner back and got a face like this

Pure madness at night I tell ya! Wish i would have taken pictures

Lol, wow. I just switched Lily over to liners last night and am happy she either doesn't have such a destructive nature, or she just hasn't yet discovered her destructive nature! No burrowing under the liner, no tipped over anything. Hm...wonder how tonight will go! Dun dun dun dunnnnn.....lol.

Oh wow, lol... It's like a little hedgie dream home, hahaha... I'm totally impressed!

Plus, you've totally inspired me to get crackin' the new cage I've been planning on putting together for our little girl so it'll be ready when she comes out of the emergency (just in case) maternity ward I just set up for her, lol. (I've got about 2 weeks of nail biting to go through if she doesn't have babies - and probably even more if she does. Eep.)

Ziggy is a super cute name btw! He's going to be quite the lucky hedgie! :D
