I just bought my hedgie a week ago and he came with all his stuff. After looking at the examples of the cages I noticed very quickly that mine was wayy too small for him. I was wondering if anyone had any plans or directions on how to build a cage for a hedgie (decent size with two or more levels). I want something he will be happy in and not be bored. I will also consider buying a cage. Please help little Orville and me!!
Thanks!!!

Hi There,

I just wanted to help a little here because it looks like you posted basically the same question twice within a few hours. On your previous post, Heather "hedgielover" responded with some great links for you to use. Also at the top of the "Housing & Accessories" Forum there are highlighted (stickies) posts that have the most important information about this particular section. The same goes for each particular section from "Health" to "Diet & Nutrition". I'd recommend looking through those first and then if you really can't find your answer, ask away! :D
I just know that people can get annoyed seeing numerous posts for the same thing so I thought I'd help you out before it got to that point. There are tons of ideas and instructions throughout and if you like someone's setup in the examples post, feel free to ask them how they did it. I personally bought my cage and love it, although I took out the loft and I just use the first layer. This is (I think lol) the one I have: http://www.petco.com/product/106066/PET ... SiteSearch

Good luck with your boy~ Oh and we all love pictures of the little ones!

Hey!
Sterilite Bins work great (So i hear). I am using one for my upcoming hedgie.
It's easy to clean, easy to move, holds in heat. And they are cheap from Walmart and Target.
Target has one that is 110 qt / 106 lt for $12.99 this week (regular price $16.99)

No probs. It's hard to get used to how a new forum works. Especially if you have never been on one before. We don't want to be mean or anything just let you know how things work. :D
