how can you be sure if you rescue a hedgehog if you have an albino or pale apricot? they both have red eyes pink skin and almost no band on the quills? has anyone ever got them confused?
They can be really tricky. Especially if the hedgehog has been living on a substrate bedding or is otherwise stained. Once you get them nice and clean, sit under a good light (natural lighting is best as it doesn't cast a yellow tinge) and look at the quills really close. If you see any hint of color that you don't think is a stain, then chances are its a pale apricot.
