I have tried various ways of providing digging materials for my Lord Poppington, however he simply won't dig. I've used fleece in a pile, in boxes, and in his igloo. Nothing. Does he just not like digging? Am I doing it wrong?

I have also provided a rock digger where I put mealies but he just plucked them out and ignored it -_-

Although they are from the shrew family, not all hedgehogs naturally like to dig. They don't need to do this it's just for their personal enjoyment - perhaps your hedgie may become interested one day when bored.

Mine likes digging kitty paper pellet bedding (similar but cheaper, but name brand is yesterday's news)

U can try putting meal worms and other treats in the dig box under the bedding so they have something to dig for. One fav is Origen red chicken treats. They don't stink like cat treats either. They aren't crunchy like freeze dry chicken either. It's soft morsels of pure chicken.
