Hello,
I have a four month old female named Kiwi and she is still quilling! The part that concerns me is that it seems to be alot of quills! She has bare spots on her back but when I look i see new quills growing in. Here is why i'm confused, I took her to the vet and the vet said she saw no mites but Kiwi was treated with revolution just in case. also, the vet gave me antibiotics just incase it was a bacterial infection. So I treated her for 14 days and now three weeks have passed since then and she seems just fine and I detect no wierd behavior at all. The loss of quills is the only thing that concerns me because it is so much! She has flaky skin but i know it's normal with quilling and I started putting flax seed oil in her food and it is getting progressivly better. So has anybody elses hedgies had a rough time quilling? Is it stress? Hormonal imbalance? Plz let me know. I know it might not be stress because Kiwi is our only pet and we live in a very quiet house with no kids.
