Baby is wobbling probably because of being weak and cold. Put a heating pad on low under the tub you have babies in. Follow my directions/story about raising babies. They should grow up fine. At 3 weeks they are easier to raise. Please email me if I can help. [email protected]
Hedgie had suprise litter and is now dead
We adopted a hedgie about a month ago and within a week she gave birth. We had no idea she was pregnant. Thankfully she was a great mother and took care of all the babies. She was eating and drinking fine but when I went in to check on them today I found her dead. So now I have five 3 week old babies. Their eyes are open and they are all very active. I just fed them for the first time (I followed the directions on this site).
Since they are three weeks old is their chance of survival any better?
I hand fed them with a syringe but should I try feeding them out of a small dish?
I am so devastated that my hedgie passed away and now so worried about the babies!
Any advice or anything I should know?
I have 2 albinos with ruby colored eyes and one of them seems to have wobbly hedgehog syndrome. Is it possible to tell at this age? He shakes and wobbles when he tries to stand

I just figured out you are 2 hours north of me. I have a mom who could foster the babies if you would like. email me!

I have an update. They called me today. 4 of the 5 had died. They brought the surviving girl down to me. She is hopefully gonna be fostered by Macchiata.
Baby is almost 5 weeks old and eating out of the dish with foster mom. I will start weaning her on Monday.

When baby came on 1/11 she weighed 61 grams and was about 3 weeks old. Now she is 5 weeks old. On 1/24, I took her from foster mom and she weighed 127 gams. Today, 2 days later she is at 144 grams! She will go home on Saturday to Amanda and Miles.
Baby girl went home last night. Now we have to wait for updates from the owners.
