When I go to stroke my hedgehog he makes him quills soft at the back and will sit there for 10-15 seconds before huffing repeatedly, but he doesn't make him quills hard as though he's scared, he just keeps them soft like he's letting me stroke him.

Is this normal behaviour that means they're fine or is he scared?
