Hedgehog food

Do hedgehogs have to be fed bugs? I have read at pets supplies plus that hedgehogs are Insectivorous or at least African Pygmy Hedgehogs are.

As long as you are feeding a good mix of 3 good quality cat foods(off of Reaper's list), then treats are not a real necessity.

You don't have to feed bugs, but I love feeding mealies because of how much my boy loves it. However, there are a few here who refuses to even touch the mealies.

Instead of bugs, you can also try giving some chicken or seafood as a treat as well. My boy LOVES seafood.
