SOS. I’ve had my hedgehog since September. He’s always been mildly cranky but for the most part he likes to cuddle and crawl on me and sleep in my sweatshirts. Lately he’s had a very bad dry skin and is losing hair from his belly but not in big patches. He has not lost any quills. But he is non stop huffing even when I’m not touching him. And he won’t let me touch him without curling into a tight ball. I ordered an antifungal spray to see if that helps. But I don’t know what else to do.

This happened to my hedgehog as well! It turned out to be a bacterial infection, but I would recommend seeing a vet to make sure that you get the right diagnosis and medication. Good luck!
