Ok so i have a corrugated plastic bottom'ed cage and i need to get Jeffrey a heating pad soon, i cant afford to run the heat this high any more. I was thinking of grabbing a 'under aquarium reptile heating pad' and putting it under a peice of glass under the corrugated plastic. do you think this is still going to be too warm for the plastic / what wattage would be appropriate for this scenario.
(there would be no way for jeffrey to access the glass and it would be rounded so there are no sharp edges.)
I was also considering stuffing a small heating pad between 2 peices of lexan, wrapping it in felt, and throwing it in his nest with him. (lexan has a melting point @ 310 degrees f.)
input?

flaming?
All is welcome.
