Hello we are new to the community of hedgehogs we just got ours yesterday what a sweet baby they are just curious if anyone can tell me if they leave their heat lamps on 24 seven or when ideal temperature is reached they turn them off???????

It should be controlled by a thermostat so can be left on all the time and the thermostat will control it, it will only put heat through if the temp drops and it needs heat.

Do not leave a heat lamp on without being controlled by a thermostat or it will get dangerously hot.
