I live in tacoma washington (ive been told theres lots of hedgie owners here) and as some of you might or might not know our winters can be pretty bad. I was wondering if you guys could link me to some ways to keep my hedgie warm during the winter. I plan to use a big plastic storage bin to house my hedgie if that matters. It will be in my room. If the power ever goes out I will have a hand warmer or two ready until I move my hedgie close to the fireplace. I just need something for when the powers on because my room can get kind of clod.

If you're using a big plastic storage bin, you'll need to keep your room at the right temperature. The most convenient way to do that is with a portable heater that has a thermostat control built right in. You'll set the temperature, turn it on (keeping it away from blowing right at your hedgie), and it will turn itself on and off as needed.
