I'm new in this hobby and because of my current livingsituation I can't have my own hedgie before summer, and I'm using the time to gain as much info as possible.

I wondered if there was any books you can recommend?

Since I got my little boy I've purchased to following books from Amazon.com:

Hedgehogs (A Complete Pet Owner's Manual)
http://www.amazon.com/Hedgehogs-Com...=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1257351512&sr=8-2

The Guide to Owning a Hedgehog
http://www.amazon.com/Guide-Owning-...=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1257351512&sr=8-8

There is some good information in these books, but most of it is either outdated or just plain wrong. I have honestly found more valuable information here and on other forums and websites in regards to health, care, food, and housing than any of the books on the market could offer. If you do go for books, look at the year they were published; I saw one that was written in 1994!

Alastrina I had both those books with my first hedgehog. You're right about it being outdated and wrong. The info that is correct I found to be really basic.

I believe this book has been recommended on this forum before but I have never read it it's just on my list.

The Hedgehog: An Owner's Guide to a Happy, Healthy Pet_ by Dawn Wrobel and Dr. Susan Bro
