Personally I use foods under 15%, and have used up to 16% and never had a problem with any overweight hedgies. I've had up to 13 and any time and right now have 11, 5 of which are rescues, one with WHS. I have a couple, including the one with WHS that I add Royal Canin Babycat to their food, and they haven't gotten fat, just stay at a good weight

I think that unless you have hedgies that are more prone to being overweight that it doesn't hurt them to have higher fat percentages. Personally I like to give a mixture of food that include some with higher fat than 10%.
