My dog got into my hedgehogs cage (I've only had the hedgehog for a week) and managed to tear of quite a few quills. He was extremely skittish when I stopped the attack but It's been about an hour now and hes acting fine, still clumping stuff, walking around ect. I'm just worried about the slight bald patches he has and was wondering if anyone has any advice on how I can help his quills regrow. P.s I have move him to a new cage where the dogs cannot get him and have put both food and water in the cage.

I would suggest taking your hedgehog to a vet to make sure that the dog didn't damage anything.

That's so sad. Which dog breed do you have? Usually Pitbulls attack other animals if they are not well-trained. 2 years back the same thing happened with my friend. He had a Pitbull who attacked his hedgehog.
