I have 7 week old baby boy and i have noticed him scratching a lot at night. I havent found but a few quills in his fleece,and when i look through his quills I see what apears to be dandruff. I have contacted my breeder asking if has gone through quilling yet and she said "no it should be anytime." I just hope it isnt mites.... anyway to tell before it gets too bad?

Only way to tell is if he is losing more than he can grow... Which mean that he'll get bald spots.

However, at his age, it's most likely quilling. A nice oatmeal bath will help.
Just do a search(upper right corner) for "Aveeno oatmeal" as well as "flax seed oil" And it should come up with ways to help a quilling baby.

I gave him a bath monday night I washed him with avenoo baby and put olive oil on him at the end I dont wanna overdue it on the baths but do you think i should give him an oatmeal one?. I see no bald spots... but I dont see any new quills poking through the skin. I'll see if it gets worse.
