I've read on here about how some hedgies constantly crawl under their liners and cause a big old mess. I thought I was lucky for the first two months but then, Spork decided to follow suit and crawl under every night.

So the last time I cleaned her cage, I decided to put her sleeping bag inside her igloo, with the opening of the bag facing the opening of the igloo. Since then, she's enjoyed burrowing in there rather than under her cage liner. Not sure if that will work for anybody else but I at least wanted to throw it out there.

Also, my boyfriend brought me the cutest hedgehog ornament last night and I wanted to share. It has the texture of a hard bristled brush, which I love as well.

Super cute ornament! How thoughtful of him.

I finally had to get rid of Riley's pouch. It wasn't hedgie-designed so eventually it frayed from his digging behavior when he tried to get cozy. Little fluffs of the material were getting everywhere in the cage, including in the food and water dish, in his toes, yikes. I miss having the pouch convenience so I'm going to make him a new one. One that can hopefully withstand the abuse, ha!

Her liner was made out of thick fleece. Maybe a pouch made of either two layers of normal fleece or one of thick fleece could hold up against your destructive one?

I have no idea where he bought it, I'll try to remember after he gets off work. I just know he was at the mall and came over later with the ornament in his hand. But thanks, I'm glad you like it!
